Riddarholmen – Stockholm

Riddarholmen (literally “The Knights’ Islet”) is a small islet in central Stockholm. The island forms part of Gamla Stan, the old town, and houses a number of private palaces dating from the 17th century.

Nyboder

Nyboder a set of houses built under order of king Christian the 4th in 1631.
The main reason was the increasing need of housing for enlisted men of the Royal Navy and their families.
The buildings have changed colour a number of times.
