Kaufdorf’s car cemetery I

Posted by PBGalerie.ch at 05:15 PM in 2008

For over thirty years, the car cemetery of Kaufdorf was abandoned. For environmental reasons, the Federal Court decided that everything should disappear by March 2009.

To finish well “his career”, this place was part of a national exposition, hosting works from 23 artists in the middle of old cars which ended last October 12.

1st part in pictures… Later, all my photos will be visible here : “Car cemetery“.

Blog Action Day 2008 – Poverty

Posted by PBGalerie.ch at 08:00 AM in 2008

Blog Action Day 2008 logo

Today, October 15th, thousands of bloggers around the world will publish a post about poverty for the Blog Action Day 2008 event. Currently, more than 9’500 blogs are participating in this action.
Blog Action Day is an annual non-profit event that aims to unite the world’s bloggers, podcasters and videocasters, to post about the same issue on the same day. The 1st edition was held in 2007 and was about The Environment.

What is poverty? Poverty has many faces, not only in the 3rd world. Poverty is hunger. Poverty is lack of shelter. Poverty is being sick and not being able to see a doctor. Poverty is not having access to school. Poverty is not having a job, etc…

What can we do ? If you read this blog there are great chances that you like to travel, discover new cultures. In this way, we can also contribute to reduce poverty.

For your next travel, choose an agency that focuses on local direct jobs and which reverse a portion of earnings in projects to improve the daily life of local populations, or better, give your time for a humanitarian trip.
Below is a list of links (I can include yours) :
